Regulatory Surveyors have important tasks to perform in all types of medical facilities by checking and verifying their policies and procedures for patient care are correct and current.
Emergency medication availability (and the procedures surrounding their application) is likely one of the priorities on the surveyor’s agenda. As malignant hyperthermia is an uncommon disorder that is an emergent situation when it occurs, the stocking of dantrolene (the antidote) and preparedness of all staff to respond quickly is extremely important to keep patients safe from harm.
MHAUS has focused on this disorder for over 35 years and has been clearly recognized across the board as an organization that shares important appropriate recommendations for MH preparedness.
We want to assist all types of regulatory surveyors better understand what MHAUS sees as highly important steps to be ready for MH and the reasoning behind the recommendations we make.
To do this, we are providing a free online webinar on June 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm (Eastern Time Zone – please adjust for your personal time zone).
